"Whatever you did for the least of these... you did for me."
What our Academy participants are saying:
We have a wide variety of situations we're facing, and we're starting out from scratch in all our locations so the training was a good foundational stone to be laying at this point.
Because caring leads to learning & learning leads to better care.
People want to care. The Academy of CareImpact seeks to support a holistic and healthy experience for those who are cared for and for those who care.
The Academy equips churches & communities across Canada to effectively journey in community with children and families in hard places.
Explore our 5 learning streams which integrate faith values, evidence-based research & our Canadian social context:
BOOK CLUBS offer a chance to listen/read relevant content from each of our 4 learning streams and engage together in an informal dialogue.
We understand that everyone learns differently.
The Academy offers various contexts for learning to meet unique needs and preferences:
MINI-SESSIONS give an introduction to key topics and include practical take-homes that can be implemented immediately. These single session events are maximum two-hours in length.
MASTER CLASSES are comprehensive courses, typically offered over a period of weeks or months and include a certificate of completion.
EXPERIENCES allow participants to ‘live’ the learning opportunity. Examples include poverty simulation or visiting the Indigenous history of Canada through the Blanket Exercise.
STORYTELLING utilizes this powerful medium in a live format intended to spark personal and community learning and conversation in a sharing circle that follows.
RELATED EVENTS are learning opportunities offered by other organizations. Our primary goal as CareImpact is to bridge between need and opportunity. We only create something new when we are not able to find quality relevant content elsewhere.
