TIM SMITH
Lead Trauma Care Trainer

“Healing from trauma, discovering identity, and living in community—knowing and being known—happens most powerfully while being actively engaged in the created world.””

I am passionate about seeing people—especially children—experience love, care, and healing in a way that restores relationships with self, God, and others. My journey has shown me that true healing happens through meaningful relationships and engaging with the world around us.
For many, trauma and adversity create barriers to trust, identity, and belonging. I believe that by integrating trauma-informed care, faith, and the natural world, we can create spaces where individuals can heal, grow, and thrive.

Outside of work, my heart is for mentorship and discipleship. I lead youth, walk alongside women in challenging transitions, and work closely with my local church to create sustainable community impact.
I’ve worked with:
Indigenous women in the justice system
Refugees & youth aging out of care
Foster families & children with disabilities
Women reintegrating after incarceration
No one should have to walk through suffering alone. My passion is to ensure that faith communities are not just aware of these struggles—but actively engaged in bringing healing and transformation.

I believe that nature, community, and faith are powerful tools for healing. My vision is to:
🌱 Equip churches & communities to support those healing from trauma
🏕️ Create outdoor experiences that promote connection & restoration
🤝 Help families, children, and individuals build resilience & thriveHealing doesn’t just happen in counseling rooms—it happens in relationships, in movement, and in creation. Through mentorship, teaching, and hands-on experiences, I want to help others find belonging, restoration, and purpose.
