Join us in this transformative five-week journey designed to equip small groups with the tools, insights, and empathy needed to respond effectively to families in crisis through CarePortal. Each session combines biblical teachings, real-life stories, and practical strategies, culminating in a powerful in-person session with hands-on training.

    • Understanding the importance of seizing divine moments (kairos).

    • Focusing on listening and responding to God's guidance.

    • Engaging with the community through CarePortal stories and experiences.

    • Discussing the transformative impact of timely actions and scriptural reflections.

    • Introducing the Care Journey Path project and different perspectives on poverty.

    • Exploring responses to poverty: relief, rehabilitation, and development.

    • Understanding the complexities of poverty beyond financial lack.

    • Learning to use diverse resources to support families in crisis.

    • Emphasizing the role of the local church as a support system.

    • Becoming a radical presence for those going through difficult times.

    • Emphasizing the importance of empathy, compassion, and support without judgment.

    • Understanding the impact of trauma on behavior and strategies for creating safety.

    • Exploring biblical teachings on being present with the brokenhearted.

    • Highlighting the historical role of the church in caring for the marginalized.
