🎧🙏 Journey With Prayer | Stewarding God's Gifts for Service

Corresponding Episode

Leading Differently Together | APEST Finale With Daria Nardozza

1 Peter 4:10-11

ESV (English Standard Version):

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."

NLT (New Living Translation):

"God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen."

NIV (New International Version):

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."

Walking It Out

  • Reflect on 1st Peter 4:10-11 and the gifts God has granted you, and how they can be used to serve others in a stewardship that reflects God's grace.

  • Actively seek out opportunities within your church or local community to employ your gifts and service.

  • Find someone that needs a listening ear and allow the Holy Spirit to work through you and the gifts He has given you.

Prayer Points

  1. Pray for a heart eager to serve and the ability to recognize how your individual gifts can contribute toward the good of others in your community.

  2. Pray for church leaders and members alike, that they may be inspired to operate in their gifts with the primary goal of glorifying God in all things.

  3. Seek a personal transformation that allows you to let go of any fear or inhibition that may hinder you from fully utilizing your gifts, asking God to replace it with His strength and purpose.
